Redsn0w 0.9.10 Beta 3 fixes, according to the dev team a problem that could occur when running the tool on an already existing jailbreak. Therefore have to MobileSubstrate based apps no longer works until the component is reinstalled. Many users who unlocked their device had problems, especially with the Cydia application.

The iPhone Dev Team has updated the Redsn0w with the aim of rectifying some errors that occurred when applying the iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak and unlocked devices, meaning that already had the previously Tethered Jailbreak. Many users who completed the process in this way had problems with certain applications on Cydia, specifically those based on Mobile Substrate, an essential component to run the majority of changes (tweaks) system and is pre-installed when you jailbreak.

With redsn0w 0.9.10b3 the problem is now a thing of the past. The developers point out the jailbreak for a smooth operation, select “Install Cydia” to disable. The jailbreak tool is available for both Mac OS X and Windows. As mentioned earlier, the tool allows a so-called Untethered Jailbreak. Unlike a tethered jailbreak the changes remain intact even after a reboot of the device.
It should be noted that the jailbreak only supports IOS-5 devices without A5 processor – that iPhone 4 and iPhone 3G (GSM and CDMA), iPad, iPod touch 1 and the third and fourth generation. The current iPhone 4S and iPad 2 can still not unlock. According to the iPhone Dev Team is working iPod2g but the developer currently working on the jailbreak for making these devices available. Also note that Jailbreaks are not supported by Apple. According to the company they represent a security risk and lead to copyright violations.
