Google+ Reaches 20 Million Unique Visitors – Since the launched three weeks ago, Google+ has already captured 20 million unique visitors. Most hits are coming from United States and India. The full report was 5.31 million from US, 2.85 million from India, 0.87 million from UK, and 0.86 million from Canada. And this is happens between June 29 and July 19. Surprisingly, China was not in the top ten countries with most hits on Google+, but Taiwan is included on the top ten thanks to its 0.52 million visitors.

The number of unique visitors of Google+ was measured by how many people access the Google+, including non Google+ members. But even if a Google+ user visits the network many times in a day, it’s still counted as one.

Google+ achievement of 20 million visitors can’t be separated with other social networks such as Twitter and Facebook as those social networking sites easing the way to broad consumer adoption. As information, Twitter that launched in April 2008 need a year to reach 17 million unique visitors after only reach below five million visitors on the first few months after it launched, while Facebook as the most popular social networks need four years to reach more than ten million unique visitors in January 2008. Even so, Facebook are now hits 157.2 million visitors on May 2011.

Another Google+ achievement in only a couple weeks after released is it ranked #42 on the list of most visited social networking sites, which most visits were coming from Los Angeles, and followed by New York City and San Francisco.

Google also already added a Google+ iPhone app to the App Store and quickly become the most popular free applications in there.

Twitter Celebrates Fifth Anniversary – July 15, 2006 is the day where tweeting stands not only for the bird anymore, but also for man as a social networking site called Twitter opened to public. And a couple days ago, July 15, 2011, Twitter celebrates their fifth anniversary after not too long ago reaches 200 million tweets per day with more than one billion tweets every five days.

Twitter was programmed by Jack Dorsey and his team at March 2006. And on its first launch on July 2006, there were only 224 tweets at that single day. It needs another 16 months to reach the first 600,000 twitter accounts. And need three years, two months and one day to get their first billionth tweet.

Twitter as micro-blogging site has expanded vastly and has more than one million registered apps, which rise drastically from only 150,000 apps a year ago. Nowadays, Twitter has new app added every 1.5 seconds.

Within 5 year, Twitter has experiencing many controversial trending topics, a name for most talking topic in twitter, about many things, including politics, entertainment and more. Now, even president has his own Twitter account.

Although Twitter not as big as Facebook yet, but it surely already in the same level as Facebook. You may notice that almost on every site you visit on the web will be offering ‘share to Facebook’ button side by side with ‘share to Twitter’ button. This proves that Facebook and Twitter probably two main social network media that most used for these era.

Microsoft Social Networking Site, Tulalip – A couple days ago, Microsoft social networking site has been spotted which certainly unofficially confirmed some rumors than mentioning Microsoft is preparing a social network to rival Google+ and Facebook if they can.

Seeing the Google finally release their Google+, looks like Microsoft finally decided to change a Socl.com to Tulalip, which name taken from an Indian tribe name in Washington. The welcome page of Tulalip mentioned “With Tulalip you can find what you need and share what you know easier than ever”. And on the side of the screen, there are buttons to signing in through Facebook and Twitter.

Even so, when you try to getting into the Tulalip site at this moment, Microsoft already replaced the message into an apology that mention that there are some internal mistake on Microsoft Research team. Unfortunately, people has concluded that Microsoft finally started to take action with their Tulalip in order to rival Google+ service which expected to exceed 10 million account on the near future, and maybe more than.

But it looks like Microsoft will cooperate with Facebook in order to rival Google as since a long time, Microsoft and Facebook has already shown a good cooperation in their service. For example, Microsoft has added Facebook “Like” button in their Bing search engine in May, Microsoft also adding Facebook on their upcoming mobile OS, named “Mango”.

Although Microsoft has decline that the Tulalip is a social network they prepared to rival Google+ and insist that it is only an intern mistake, the prospect of Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter collaborating to create a rival for Google+ is certainly great. Just imagine that Windows Phone 7 Mango, integrated with facebook, twitter and other specialization of those three company, will Google+ stand a chance?
